Midrange beach rocks. This amazing variety of stones is a gift from Canada. They were deposited here by the last ice age. Notice the very small barnacles and tiny snails -- or periwinkles -- and hermit crabs. The greenish speckled stone in the upper left is about the size of an egg or golf ball.
